The Dallas Swing Dance Society Venue Policies
As a nonprofit organization, Dallas Swing Dance Society is fortunate to lease space at the historic Sammons Center for the Arts. This building was established in 1908 as the Turtle Creek Pump Station, and we appreciate your cooperation with the policies below during our dances and events.
DSDS hires security officers for your safety
If you need an escort to your vehicle or have other security concerns, please ask
Please remain on the FIRST floor unless there is a specific DSDS class or activity on another floor
No dancing on the green painted floors in the lobby (there are cameras)
Don’t touch the piano
Don’t place anything on the piano
No aerials / lifts
No low dips
No acrobatics / gymnastics
No food or open beverages in the ballroom
Sealed water bottles ARE allowed in the ballroom
Clean up any spills IMMEDIATELY (ask for help if needed)
No alcohol in the venue
No drugs
No smoking/vaping
No entry to guests under the influence
